Privacy Policy

Reloca is a network of English-speaking Telegram communities for expats, digital nomads, students and travellers, together with the Telegram bot @RelocaChatBot and its Mini App. Reloca is operated by Media Company, Vietnam (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Telegram account basics — your Telegram user ID, username, display name and language, as Telegram provides them to bots.
• Messages in Reloca groups — text, captions and media references (Telegram file IDs, not the files themselves) of messages posted in our community chats, including edits and messages removed by moderation. We do not read your private chats with other people.
• Community activity — joins and leaves, reactions and “thanks”, reputation (karma), reports, moderation actions and listings you post.
• Phone number — only if you choose to share it in the Mini App or in the chat with our bot. Telegram confirms the number belongs to your account. We never show it to other members.
• Technical data — basic logs and error reports needed to keep the service running.

Why we use it

• to run the communities: verify new members, stop spam and scams, moderate content;
• to power features: FAQ answers, listings board, profiles, reputation and points;
• to keep accounts secure and to prevent abuse (for example, one person farming rewards);
• to understand, in aggregate, how the communities grow and what to improve.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Who processes it for us

Telegram (messaging platform), Hetzner (servers in Germany), Cloudflare (website and backups), OpenAI (automatic spam and FAQ checks on message text) and Sentry (error reports). They process data only to provide their service to us.

Messages may be checked by automated moderation services (including OpenAI) to detect spam, scams and abuse.

How long we keep it

Community messages and activity are kept while the community exists, so that moderation and search keep working. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see below); copies may remain in our server backups until those backups are deleted.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected] from any address and include your Telegram username or ID. We reply within 30 days. Leaving a group does not delete data automatically — just email us.

Children

Reloca is not intended for anyone under 16.
